Baby gecko

There has been a baby gecko living in my kitchen.  I've seen it several times: under the kitchen table, in the pot drawer, on the pantry floor.  I've tried to direct its way to the porch door several times, but it is a fast and clever little gecko.  It would have to be, because my Siamese cat is an excellent hunter.

My youngest son was able to capture it in a glass yesterday and took this very curious photo.  I'm sure our paths will cross again.

  1. Wonderful, dreamy photo. What a cutie-may it live long, grow strong, and eat many bad bugs in your garden.

    1. Unfortunately, I think there were plenty of bad bugs in my kitchen to keep him happy.

  2. May he live long and prosper. We periodically get western fence lizards in the house, most carried in by the cat from her attached screened patio. She doesn't hurt them but drops them, announcing her accomplishment as we spend half an hour or more trying to catch the poor thing.

    1. HA! Yes, this sounds familiar. And then they drop their tails for double the fun!
